Painting in Autumn:
Windermere Centre buzzes with bristles
Wendy Slattery writes: “I am back from my biannual ‘fix’ of Windermere! We had a new Tutor, Sarah Edwards from Cardiff and she was amazing. There were 18 people booked in. Of those three were non-painters (husbands) 10 people of mixed ability; some had never done any art before!
There were five of us who were more experienced in the Conservatory who just got on with our work. The rest under the skilful tuition of Sarah made rapid progress. We had a wonderful week, plenty of giggles and there was certainly a ‘buzz’ about the place. We are all now firm friends and can’t wait for ‘Painting in Spring’! The FOOD, of course, was its usual very high standard and we were looked after by all the staff. It was lovely to meet up with Rebecca [Marketing Officer & PA to the Director] again and indeed the friendships we have made throughout the years with the Staff at The Centre and the people who we have forged friendships with from near and far. Roll on March 2012.”
