SQUADRON & CHURCH
CELEBRATE BATTLE OF BRITAIN SUNDAY
Fleetwood United Reformed Church was so pleased that 1301 (Fleetwood) Squadron by kind permission of Fl Lt Kath Lane, Officer Commanding, was able to attend to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
What made the morning extra-ordinary special were the contributions made especially by the cadets of 1301. To stand in front of ‘strangers’ to lead the congregation in a time of worship takes quite remarkable drive and they did not let themselves down nor the squadron.
ORDER OF WORSHIP

- Prayers of Invocation, Confession and Absolution

- Hymn: Christ is the world’s true light (Tune: Nun danket. Music: Later form of a melody in Johann Cruger’s Praxis Pieatis Melica with harmony adapted from Mendelssohn’s Lobsegang. Words: GW Briggs.)

- A WORD IN SEASON
