LET’S CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF THE CHURCH
On Sunday, May 27th, at 4.00 p.m all the churches in the Fleetwood are gathering at Trinity Baptist Church.
Each church in the town is focusing on one set of countries. All our youngsters at Fleetwood United Reformed Church are asked to make the national flags of Somalia, Qatar, Poland, Nigeria and Malta – ‘home-made’ A4 size will be fine. During the service the youngsters – Sunday school, Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts – will ‘parade’ the flags.
In addition the adults in our congregation are asked to prepare a sample of food from different countries – enough for a family – it can be a starter, a main course or a dessert, or sample of all three if desired (but not necessarily from the countries of the national flags mentioned.) If you are going to help with the meal then tell Ann Shadbolt. She has a form to fill in sop that we don’t have a surfeit of Cornish pasties, Yorkshire puddings or sushi!
And if you are brave enough, young and old, then come in national dress!
