Search as we might we can’t find another Women’s Guild of Christian Service as old as ours. Unless you know different, two-thousand and ten marks the one-hundred and eleventh year since the Guild was formed, the oldest Guild on record. Here’s a challenge for our readers. (And let’s not forget the Friendship Circle. We remember it beginning to meet in members’ ‘front-rooms’ and out growing those. But how old is our Friendship Circle? Who knows the precise date of the first meeting? Let’s celebrate!)
